Sushi Surfboards was started to provide surfers with an array of boards that could deal with Southern California's small and mushy conditions while providing optimum performance to high-ability surfers. As a sister-brother duo, Reuben and Sophia Guymer have managed to not only to connect La Jolla with Sushi Surfboards, but have also infiltrated the local art and surf scene, distinguishing their boards and merchandise from the rest through a unique style and layed back attitude. Sushi Art showcases the artwork of Sofia Guymer, an up-and-coming La Jolla artist who with every new project is further establishing herself both in and out of the surfing community. Her artwork has been fetured in a number of locally popular art display rooms and exhibitions including the Windansea Gallery, and The Pannikin.
